Definitely take the tour. My guide, Gerard, was super knowledgeable. Be warned that there’s some fast walking over uneven terrain and lots of stairs.

The Turist Office of Maastricht offers a "Treasure Hunting" game in the fort that is AWESOME. Go to the Tourist Office and ask about it, the man in charge of the game is called Marcel.
