The Four Bells Inn has been here since 1762 (according to public records), it was formerly know as ‘the Bells’, ‘Bell’, ‘Ring of Bells’, ‘Five Bells’ or ‘Eight Bells’! In 1898 the Home Brewery bought the Four Bells and today it is owned by Star Pubs & Bars (formerly Scottish & Newcastle).
