Though the view of the Capitol at the top of the escalator is breathtaking, don't stop moving and block the people behind you.

Use the elevator. Even if you have to wait for it it's faster than going down the long escalator. You avoid the cold wind tunnel too.

Noon to 1 pm is busiest with Hill staffers getting subs for their entire office. Wait until 1 for a shorter wait!
