When they give you water at the beginning TAKE IT it is so humid but the tour was very interesting and educational

Celebrate the season of Mardi Gras year round at the home of the parade floats. Tour the den, watch floats being made, eat king cake & take pics with paper mache characters from Dr Seuss to King Kong.

Mardi Gras World truly immerses you in the spirit of Carnival with parade floats of all sizes and themes. Situated along the river it's a great view as well. MGW hosts the Buku Festival every March.

Obviously, you start and end the tour within the gift shop (but they have free water bottles); the actual warehouse is crazy big with workstations and actual decorations for so many different floats!!

Awesome behind the scenes view of what goes into Mardi Gras. The warehouse is an active workplace so you can see artists making the floats on your tour.
