The bubble and squeak while not expressly vegetarian— although no meat is on the plate — is phenomenal none the less. One of the best breakfasts in Oakland.

Chicken and waffles was the best dish. Blueberry lemon pancakes second best. Order sage gravy on the side. Very popular brunch spot. We waited 35 mins noon Saturday. Mandatory 15% tip.

They're trading on their name at this point. Chicken in my chicken and waffles was horrifically dry. Not even drowning it on syrup and gravy could save it.

The coffee was great! But the food is below average. The cornbread was hard and cold and the grits were lumpy. Overated for the price save your dollars and go anywhere else
