Delicious custard. It was my first time, so obviously I had to order a half pint so I could try the vanilla, strawberry and chocolate custards.

The best place to end a great night with a classic custard shake or cone. It’s a tradition and is well worth any line. Price is reasonable as well.

Decent, but not the best ice cream in the D.C. area. Dairy Godmother in Alexandria, VA has better custard. Larry's Ice Cream, Thomas Sweet, and Ice Cream Jubilee in D.C. have better ice cream.

Don't be put off by the line waiting, they move efficiently and the ice cream is worth the wait! The root beer slushies are delicious as well!

Cash Only!!! And ATM is a little distance away. But Carl's is a Ice Cream Lovers Dream!!! A piece of history! The same ice making equipment since 1940's!!! Now that's a classic! Love this spot.
