Please heed the messages in the rooms about not smoking. We landed up standing outside in the rain at 1am because the smoke detector in one bedroom was triggered, seemingly due to a crafty fag.

No air conditioning, though there should be a desk fan in each room.

Like most Premier Inns, there's no power sockets by the bed. Bring an extension lead if you want to charge your mobile phone on the bedside table.

Vending machine in reception is expensive, though there are alternatives. The McDonalds outside is open 24 hours a day. There's an excellent Co-Operative Food if you walk over to the petrol station.

Not as noisy as you might think despite being under the airport flight path - unless you open the window.

Expensive Wi-Fi - though you do get half an hour free each day. Iffy HSDPA Vodafone coverage despite the coverage map indicating some hope of 4G. Solid DC-HSPA coverage on Three.

If you park round the back as far as you can get, you can cut through to Reception by following the "Restaurant Entrance" sign. Unfortunately there's a high kerb with no drop on this walking route.

There's much more parking round the back.
