Japanese gardens, good hiking trails, great views, nice park for kids, soccer on the fields, wading pool in summer, snow day in winter! Favorite spot for wedding photos. Great music library.

5 Every Day says, "A temple to high culture that loans out sheet music, obscure design magazines, prints, and even vinyl records. Best enjoyed with a picnic blanket, in the sunshine, on the grounds."

The brand library is one of the smaller libraries in Glendale but it truly is a gem. Comfortable seating and very little crowds make it the prefect place to get work done.

An art and music library. Great collection from classics, world music to pop. Beautiful park surroundings and a Japanese garden :).

Spend an afternoon at Brand Library, one of the best arts libraries around. Great selection of CD's here. As a bonus, hike the surrounding trails and find Mr. Brand's grave.
