I've lived in Atlanta for 30+ years and never knew about this place. It's a hidden jewel right outside of the city! Great hiking! Well marked paths, beautiful views, dog friendly.

If I see someone carrying bear mace on this trail I will view it as a weapon and draw my gun. You have been warned.

No, this is the best hike in Metro ATL. Whole park has a N GA mtn feel to it with thick hardwoods, 300 ft overlooks of the river and granite palisades :)

The Chattahoochee River is a great place for a bike ride, a leisurely walk, or boating on a sunny afternoon.

This is a great place to bring your dog. When the river is low, there's a great little area next to the river

This is possibly the best park in Atlanta. Beautiful trails along the river, and good climbing, if so inclined. Take your soul mate and a picnic - you won't regret it.
