Easy to get your souvenirs here for reasonable prices. T-Shirts and Flags where the same price we got after haggling in the city. Maybe I am a bad haggler though.

Shockingly bad Infrastructure (considering its in a major city/tourist destination). That said, everything runs smoothly and the rest of the country is beautiful!

There is a Priority Pass lounge here, tucked away upstairs above the Thai Airways lounge. Fast wifi, recliners to nap in, outdoor terrace, free food, free booze, and even a smoking lounge!

One of the highest AirPort in the world on the Himalayas! You are always on the clouds while landing and watch the top of mountains over clouds! Small AirPort! 👍🏻

Obtain a local SIM card at the NCell shop just before exiting the airport. 4G/3G data for cheap prices. You'll need your passport, and a photo (which they can take for you).

Restrooms greatly improved - most tips pretty old - lots of signs telling you not to tip or pay for things - a real effort@made to clean things up - people doing their best in a very busy fast growing

Departures: Free Wifi coverage starting of the foodcourt (right after check-in) and until the gates. Descent coffee in both places, and clean bathrooms, all in contrast to the arrivals zone.

Cheap & awesome liquor at duty free. Try the himalayan aaila (rice whisky), the khukri xxx rum or the old durbar (scotch whisky made with himalayan grain spirit blended with himalayan spring water :-)

Get ready at least 25 USD and passport photo for your visa. They'll paste the visa on the spot when you arrive, and they'll chop the departure stamp when you leave.
